Die Diskussion über alternative oder parallele Künstler*innenvergütung auf Streaming-Plattformen nimmt Fahrt auf. Auf die Suche nach neuen Modellen und einem nachhaltigen Ökosystem, das für Künstler*innen und ihre Partner*innen funktioniert, um zukünftig die Chancen, Vielfalt und Einkommen für alle in der Wertschöpfungskette zu verbessern, begeben sich Bas Grasmayer (Strategist in music & culture), Sammy Andrews (CEO, Deviate Digital) und Vickie Nauman (CEO, CrossBorderWorks).

Sammy Andrews (CEO & Founder, Deviate Digital)
Sammy Andrews has a long history at the forefront of the digital landscape. Having gained a 360 degree view of the music industry through her background as a concert promoter, artist manager and independent record label founder, Andrews took on a position as Head of Digital at the record division of 19 Entertainment in 2005, though her remit there expanded beyond music to cover brands including the Beckhams, the England football team and Honda.
In addition, Andrews has led her own digital consultancy firm, Sabotage New Media since 2008: she’s worked with a broad range of artists and organisations including Annie Lennox, Island Records, Robyn, Sony, Universal Music, The Camden Rocks music festival, the Mama group, the United Nations and Comic Relief.
A long standing outspoken advocate of the value the digital revolution can bring to bands, brands and organisations she’s proven on many occasions that data is key to understanding and effectively marketing to your audience in this brave new world.
Andrews has also spearheaded the Independent Label Playlist Brand initiative after calling on all independent labels globally to unite in an effort to rival the majors.
From 2013-2016 Sammy headed up the Cooking Vinyl Group’s digital department looking after campaigns including Billy Bragg, The Prodigy, Marilyn Manson, The Subways, Carl Barat, Royksopp and many more as well as driving the company’s overall digital strategy.
Vickie Nauman (Founder & CEO, CrossBorderWorks)
Vickie Nauman specializes in the intersection between technology and music, focused on licensing and music data/rights, product/device integration, and international strategic development. She is Founder and CEO of the boutique consulting and advisory firm CrossBorderWorks and has been busy with an ambitious portfolio of forward-thinking companies in tech, consumer electronics, finance and music since 2014.
A digital music pioneer, Nauman worked on licensing and product for one of the first legal digital services MusicNet (RealNetworks JV), led strategic partnerships for connected device company Sonos, started and ran the US business for global music platform 7digital, and did digital music business in Europe and China as a consultant. She built one of the first DMCA-compliant services at taste-making Seattle station KEXP and has an MBA through the London School of Economics, NYU-Stern, and HEC-Paris, in the executive program TRIUM.
She is an advisor to UCLA’s Music Innovation Program and SXSW as well as a collection of early stage companies in music/tech.
Bas Grasmayer (Strategist in music & culture, Music X)
Bas Grasmayer is a freelance strategist based in Berlin and the founder of the MUSIC x newsletter about music, tech, and strategy. In the past he's held executive product roles at streaming services Zvooq (focused on Russia & CIS) and IDAGIO (focused on classical music).
