"Parenthood in Music" is an initiative, founded by Steffi von Kannemann (owner of Better Things) and Marit Posch (VUT board member, General Manager IDOL Germany, co-founder of Hyper Culture), to raise awareness on how parenthood influences working conditions in the music industry. Parenthood is still one of the main reasons for inequality and often leads to mothers and single parents, in particular, not holding a leadership position or having a proper career as an artist. With this initiative, we are striving for innovative working models in order to achieve a modern and inclusive music industry.

This panel focuses on the question of how to implement a pledge for family friendly festivals. In cooperation with c/o pop, we have created a list of criterias and talking points that will help with making music festivals a more family-friendly environment and will make it easier for artists, festival staff and delegates with children to attend.
